Sullenberger Aviation Museum

The story

Charlotte has a proud aviation history, and the Sullenberger Aviation Museum is where that story lives. Home to the aircraft from the "Miracle on the Hudson," the museum recently opened a new chapter. We partnered with Progressive AE, the architecture and engineering firm involved in the project, to create a documentary-style film about how that new chapter came together.

We filmed on location at the museum in Charlotte. The film focuses on the thinking behind the space: the design choices, the collaboration between teams, and the community vision that shaped it. It's a story about architecture, but also about people who care deeply about honouring the past while building something for the next generation.

Working in a space full of aircraft is a filmmaker's dream and a lighting challenge. We paired wide, sweeping shots that capture the scale of the building with detailed close-ups of materials, structure, and craftsmanship. Aerial footage gave context to the site and its place in the city. Interviews with the people involved add the human side, explaining not just what was built but why it matters.

We shaped the edit to serve two audiences. For Progressive AE, it's a showcase of their approach to thoughtful, collaborative design. For the museum and the wider Charlotte community, it's a celebration of a landmark that gives aviation history a fitting home.
